Hearing, Audiology & Otology. Wide and deep experience with both big and small companies including Miracle-Ear, Bernafon, and Zounds Hearing. Branding studies, product launches, positioning, market research, product development and usability, competitive analysis, account planning, creative testing, advertising, direct marketing, and in-store marketing. Both sales channel and retail marketing. Work includes interaction with physicians, hearing instrument specialists and audiologists, all of whom play a part in diagnosing hearing loss and fitting hearing aids.

Orthopedics & Neurology. Medical device companies including Zimmer Spine, Northstar Neuro and Archus Orthopedics, working with both neuro-surgeons and orthopedists. New product launch plans, positioning studies (see case studies), brand development, sales presentations (using video, Flash, PowerPoint and other tools), trade advertising, patient collateral, physician collateral, podium presentations, and instructional materials.

Urology. Experience includes Urologix (BPH) and Timm Medical (Erectile Dysfunction), working with urologists, primary care physicians, physician’s assistants, and patients. Market research, new product launches, competitive analysis, creative development and testing, direct marketing, industry meetings, sales presentations, video sales tools, and product re-positioning.

Pulmonology. Pacific Pulmonary and Peak Sleep, working with pulmonologists, sleep specialists, cardiologists, primary care physicians, and patients/customers. Market research, customer satisfaction surveys, new product launches, website user interfaces, branding, and positioning.

Health Insurance Plans. Focusing on Medicare Plans, experience includes Secure Horizons and Senior Educators, among others. Market research, creative testing, competitive analysis, communications audits, project management, and account planning.

Senior Housing. St. Paul Towers and others who provide full range of housing options for older adults, from independent living to skilled nursing care. Account planning, creative services.

Non-Profit. Usually done on a pro bono basis. Recent project done through the Taproot Foundation was a corporate rebranding project that included a new logo, tagline and design style sheet for the Insight Center for Community Economic Development, a national think tank and resource for governmental and non-profit agencies that serves low income communities around the issues of housing and economic development.

Etcetera. Just to keep us on our toes, we occasionally take on clients outside of our sweet spot, such as plumbing contractors Lunt Marymor, who need help branding, positioning the company and figuring out how to implement a marketing plan.
