Getting 20 Somethings to Sign Up for Health Insurance

Okay, so the NFL is not going to help. In a just published Kaiser Family Foundation poll, over two-thirds of the uninsured feel that having health insurance is very important to them personally. So why aren't they covered right now? Two reasons: fear of the cost and lack of information on what exactly it is offered by the new plans under the Affordable Care Act. Fear of cost is real as many young adults are unemployed or underemployed. The lack of information is even more pronounced. If they knew more, younger adults would be pleasantly surprised to find out that they may be eligible for premium support by the federal government.  A recent Yahoo Finance article outlines "Five Things You May Not Know About Obamacare." Might be worth a read for everyone, not just for young adults without insurance.
